Profile

What we’re looking for

Forward thinkers. Working with the Merchandising Controller, you’ll agree on
all the big financial targets. With the Buying Team, you’ll conduct regular
trading reviews to maximize sales, where your strategic experience will help
you identify current and future trading opportunities.
Problem solvers. Directing the Assistant Merchandiser and Trainee Merchandiser, you’ll be responsible for the reliability and accuracy of
your department.
Range management. You’ll advise the Buying Team on option plans and
range building, so your knowledge of the Primark business and individual
Primark stores will be vital.
Vision. Implementing and improving new systems and operating procedures
will enable you to shape your department.
People skills & high standards. Working under the Merchandising
Controller, you’ll maintain Primark’s high standards while keeping in touch
with your peers, team, and neighbouring teams. You’ll also train and develop
your team while taking responsibility for your own career progression.
Ability to build relationships and influence. Working for a leading retailer
like Primark means you will have close working relationships with B&M
directors to agree on big trading decisions, whilst you’ll also be frequently
required to present directly to the trading and retail directors.
