Candidates must be eligible to work 40 hours per week with no restrictions.

We are looking to hire a Process and Quality Engineer to join our team.

  • Identify and detail process improvements within a semi-automated storage and retrieval distribution centre
  • Ability to measure performance of system using data analytics and identify areas of improvement.
  • Support operational team in optimizing business process such as
  • (a) Productivity throughput,
  • (b) Resource optimization
  • (c) Product allocation (fast v's slow moving) Allocation files
  • (d) Reversal flows
  • (e) Value added activities
  • Engaging with 3rd Party automation supplier in developing enhancements to current hardware solution.
  • (a) Optimising conveyor network and product flow
  • (b) Optimising capacity of automated storage system
  • Develop and document with operational stakeholders' business improvement requirements.
  • Partnering with WMS manager ensuring business requirements are successfully transition into a technical requirement document.
  • Key System super user. Develop detailed operational knowledge.
  • Lead the UAT testing of software solutions before transitioning into live environment.
  • Define and document business / operational workflows for new processes and reassess existing ones.
  • Support and identify opportunities to enhance a continuous improvement culture within the organisation.
  • Lead Quality improvement initiatives and update quality KPI as appropriate.
  • Alignment with Business units regarding product packaging and process improvements that can positively influence storage optimization.
  • Participate in management meeting reporting business initiatives and timelines.
  • Developing operational dashboard using both power BI and WMS to manage operational performance.
  • Strong presentation skills (needs to be able to present data in an easy way, make complex analysis look easy)
  • Support & adhere to Safety & Security site polices & procedures

Profile

Requirements:

Experience in an automated Distribution centre or automated production environment required
Experience working with external suppliers ideally in the areas of automation storage and retrieval systems required
Strong analytical skill set- Ability to work with data analytics to support the identification of operational improvements
Proficiency with Power BI Experience required
Proficiency with MS Office Suite required
Project Management experience leading projects, managing different stakeholders, managing communications required
Continuous Improvement methods and tools knowledge is required
Knowledge of Lean principles and tools
